WE ARE OPEN!
After taking the difficult decision to temporarily close the dealership, we are pleased to announce that following the latest Government announcement, Brighton Mitsubishi re-opened Monday the 1st of June!
Our service, parts and sales departments will be available from 8:30 am-5:30 pm Monday to Friday and the sales department will be open Saturday 8:30 am-5:00 pm.
The health and welfare of our customers and staff are of paramount importance to us, so there will naturally be some changes in how we operate.
Firstly the Government has insisted that the Health And Safety Executive carry out a review of the safety measures we have put in place - a certificate confirming our adherence to these regulations will be on display for you to view.
We will have clearly marked entry and exit points, with a simple one-way system to follow through the dealership. Hand sanitisers will be available at entry and exit and we’d ask you to observe a strict 2-metre social distancing rule.
We have also installed large Perspex screens at our service and parts reception.
Our technicians will wear personal protective equipment and we will use anti-bacterial wipes on steering wheels, handbrake & gear levers etc ., once work is completed.
Whilst we don’t insist our customers wear masks, we would encourage it and we would respectfully request that you keep to a minimum the number of people who accompany you to the dealership to help keep our colleagues and other customers safe.
We can offer while-you-wait appointments, free local collection & return (if for example, you are self-isolating), or a courtesy car if you need to be mobile. Our courtesy cars will be sanitised after each use.
If you are interested in discussing replacing your car, or perhaps are a first-time buyer, please note that the sales department is operating on an appointment-only basis - please call 01273 388808 to arrange a convenient time to visit us.
Many of you will have benefited from the extension to MOT expiry dates - whilst this was a welcome and sensible move, you still need to ensure your car is safe and roadworthy.
However, the Government has confirmed the MOT exemption policy is under constant review - and could be cancelled at any time.
Baroness Vere, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department of Transport has said: “the duration of the changes remains under review and if no longer required, this instrument will be amended to bring forward the last day on which the 6-month exclusion can begin”.
Given drivers face possible prosecution and a £2500 fine for using an unroadworthy vehicle.
We are grateful for your understanding during what is one of the most challenging times in recent history and we look forward to welcoming you safely into the dealership soon.
